The journey of a thousand schools began with a single idea
and soon turned into a global movement.

2020

TCF made its first foray in TV-based edutainment in collaboration with Pakistan Television’s Tele-school and Federal Ministry of Education amid coronavirus school closures. Ilm Ka Aangan, a 45-minute long TV programme, engaged children through theme-based videos, activities, story-telling sessions by veteran actor Sania Saeed, physical exercise segments and much more. More than 6 million viewers tuned in across 4 channels every week.

2019

TCF Education Programme was selected as one of the top 25 worldwide to be showcased under the Expo 2020 Dubai Global Best Practices programme.

The Government of Sindh for its USAID-funded Sindh Basic Education Programme - SBEP signed an agreement with TCF under which TCF assumed the management of 19 newly constructed government school units in the districts of Dadu and Qamber-Shahdadkot in Sindh.

2018

TCF partnered with Thar Foundation to develop and implement a research-backed mother tongue-based multilingual education model (MTB-MLE)

The Student Management App (SMA) was developed to provide greater visibility into student-level information at the Head Office in real-time.

2017

South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) awards TCF with 'Best Presented Annual Report Award 2016' in the category for non-governmental and not-for-profit organisations.

UNESCO honours TCF’s Adult Literacy Programme, ‘Aagahi’ with the Confucious Prize for Literacy

The Lab School initiative was initiated in an effort to revamp the early years programme at TCF by emphasising on 21st century skills and whole child development - bringing best practices in Early Childhood Education (ECE) to the TCF classroom.

2016

TCF adopts government schools across Pakistan in a bid to enhance enrolment and quality of education through its Government Schools Programme (GSP)

TCF inaugurates its first College in Qayumabad, Karachi

2015

TCF wins The Schwab Foundation's Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF).

Expanding the horizons, TCF breaks ground on a new chapter, TCF - Norway!

2014

Forging ahead, TCF’s mission reaches the Swiss Alps with TCF - Switzerland.

TCF initiates the Alumni Development Programme (ADP) to assist TCF alumni in their preparation for and application to top-rated Universities in Pakistan.

TCF rolls out its learning management system ‘Nardban - Stairway to Success,’ for teachers' content knowledge testing and development.

TCF brings home Asia's Nobel Prize, The Ramon Magsaysay Award!

Mourning the loss of innocent lives in the Peshawar school attack, TCF pledges to build '141 Schools for Peace' for the children of Pakistan.

TCF - Summer Camp kicks off, giving young volunteers the opportunity to make a difference.

2007

Keeping its promise to help realize the aspirations of its students, TCF starts awarding alumni scholarships.

The drive for education extends northwards with TCF opening its first school in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

2006

TCF gets recognised for its best management practices through the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) Award.

2005

Bringing the light of literacy to adult learners, TCF initiates the Aagahi Programmme for community women.

TCF - Canada Chapter joins force to defy the darkness of ignorance.

TCF launches its relief efforts in response to the deadliest earthquake in the history of Pakistan.

2004

Reaching for the heights, TCF opens its doors to the children of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

2003

TCF's first batch of matriculating ‘Agents of Positive Change’ go out into the world.

2002

TCF forges ahead and builds it first school in Balochistan.

Carrying the torch forward, TCF - USA joins the movement.

2001

Striding along, TCF - UK gets off the ground.

1998

Stepping up, TCF ventures into Secondary Level Education.

TCF - UAE joins the movement to educate Pakistan.

Making inroads into the green fields, TCF opens its first 3 Primary Schools in Punjab.

1996

A new world opens up as the first five TCF Schools open their doors to the children of Pakistan.
